The college is consistently in the top ten per cent of colleges for examination performance and its latest Ofsted inspection praised its commitment to good academic support and leadership.
It offers the broadest range of subjects in the region with more than 40 AS/A Level subjects and 70 vocational programmes, including a work based learning scheme. It is also the only approved Centre of Vocational Excellence (CoVE) for professional accountancy support services in the Black Country.
An extensive range of options to enrich students' learning includes a Collegiate programme for gifted and talented young people aspiring for higher education.
Each year facilities are improved and the college has launched a £20 million scheme for an extensive campus redevelopment. The first phase is a new refectory and a Health and Social Care teaching suite.
