King Edwards VI College
Located at the heart of Stourbridge on a single campus, King Edward VI College has a 450 year history in educating young minds. A former grammar school, it became a sixth form college in 1976, and it now boasts over 1,500 students and 100 teaching staff.
Today King Edwards is exclusively an AS and A Level college and in 1996 it came first in the government's A Level "league table" for sixth form and further education colleges in England.
Traditional buildings and classrooms coupled with extensive playing fields in nearby Oldswinford, provide students with some of the best resources in the area. In addition the college has embarked on a major building programme, which has already provided new facilities for students.
Committed to quality, King Edward VI College aims to "get things right" from the very beginning. Offering a wide range of subjects and a flexible timetable, programmes of study are tailor-made to meet the needs of the individual, ensuring that they get the most out of their time at the college.
