Sandwell College
With a student body of over 10,000 and over 650 full and part-time staff across its three campuses, Sandwell College is one of the largest providers of further education in the borough.
The majority of its courses are provided at its Smethwick and West Bromwich campuses, while the Oldbury campus offers Accountancy, Business Management and Automotive Engineering courses. Many courses are also provided within the community at a range of venues such as local schools, church halls, temples and mosques.
The college has its own Workplus section which offers work-based learning support to learners. It aims to fulfil the Government's criteria on apprenticeships and vocational qualifications.
The college also provides an ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) programme which has been hugely successful and continues to thrive.
It strives to widen and increase participation rates in further and higher education for all communities in Sandwell and to deliver provision which meets the needs of the local community, employers and employees.
